b'Nighthawks is a gritty cop drama with an international terrorist twist. Originally intended to be part 3 of The French Connection this film has an amazing breakout Rutger Hauer performance and an ok Sly performance with excellent back up by Billy Dee. It is a strange movie tonally. Never quite gets there, but somehow manages to be gripping until the very end. Get into it!!!
