The theme may, frankly, be tenuous on occasion, but there is always some sort of over-arching, high-falutin\', poncey idea behind it. For this mix, I returned to downtempo territory. Over the past 15 years or more, I\'ve become slightly obsessed by the 95-115bpm range and for this I kept it no faster than 110bpm. I must admit, I like the late night electronic feel of that speed. Maybe it\'s because I\'m getting old; or getting awkward (I often get people coming up when I\'m DJing and asking me if I\'m going to speed things up, as though they\'re on a bus and late for an appointment). Most of the stuff on here came out this year, with a few oldies thrown in the mix and a couple that have yet to come out.
