Lanny Hunter is a retired physician with more than fifty years\' experience in the consultation room and operating theater. He is a Vietnam veteran and recipient of the Distinguished Service Cross for Valor. He has authored and co-authored more than five books and lives in Denver, Colorado with his wife, Carolyn.
In this back-porch conversation, host Thane Marcus Ringler talks with Lanny about the disciplines of science and religion, embracing the mystery, and living a reflective life. Lanny also shares his experiences in the Vietnam War and practicing medicine, and dives into the role of writing, the power of stories and narratives, what real heroism looks like, and more!
