ABC’s Wicked City: Is This a Trip to the Sunset Strip Worth Taking?

On this episode we preview ABC’s new anthology series Wicked City. It stars Ed Westwick (Gossip Girl), Erika Christensen (Parenthood), Jeremy Sisto (Suburgatory, Law & Order), Gabriel Luna (Matador), Taissa Farmiga (American Horror Story), Evan Ross (90210), Karolina Widra (True Blood), Jamie Ray Newman (Eureka) and Anne Winters (Tyrant).
Wicked City will follow a unique case set in a noteworthy era of L.A. history. In this first season we follow a murder case from 1982 centered around cocaine-fueled search for fame on the Sunset Strip. The story is told from the point of view of the serial killer, the cops and the press as the case is investigated.
Wicked City surpassed my admittedly low expectations with a solid re-creation of the time period and a great cast in what starts out as an interesting story of a serial killer and the cops investigating the murders. I look forward to watching the rest of this 10-episode season.
