A leap of faith

A leap of faith, in its most commonly used meaning, is the act of believing in or accepting something outside the boundaries of reason. An act of believing something that is not easily believed: It took a big leap of faith to decide to quit my job and try something new.  We are scared that things could go wrong, that things will be uncomfortable, and that things might not go as expected. But taking a leap of faith and throwing yourself into the unknown can be very rewarding. It means that you fully surrender to all expectations that you and others have ever had of yourself.
