This episode is a real example of how important is it to consider the whole patient and really test their understanding of what they know BEFORE we do treatment, especially in the esthetic zone. I use this example because within our practice we did it both wrong (initially), and then, right! I think it\\u2019s a worthwhile lesson for all!
\\nAnd this topic is not just important for the Doctors but invaluable for your entire team too! As much as we want to help solve problems as they arise, patients need to understand their health and take ownership.
\\nFrom the disgruntled call at the front desk, to the complaints to the manager, and even the loss of patients, much of it can be avoided if we learn to step back and clearly listen to one another.
\\nThis does many things:
\\n1. It motivates patients to not just accept treatment but also establish a trusting relationship.
\\n2. Sets the expectations of how long treatment might last and what fees will look like in the future.
\\n3. Saves YOUR ASS!
