Mitchel “Mitch” Weiser and Bonita “Bonnie” Bickwit met while attending John Dewey High School, an alternative school for gifted students located in Brooklyn, New York, and were quickly inseparable.

They were last seen while hitchhiking to a music festival in 1973, and haven't been seen since.
