Total Football Analysis’ Chris Darwen spent some time with League One Southend United as their analysis department were kind enough to open their doors and share what performance analysis looks like at a lower level.

 

In this interview, Chris talks to Ben Cirne and Katie Sorenson. Ben is Head of Performance Analysis and responsible for creating the department from scratch and Katie is his assistant.

 

Over the course of the conversation we find out what happens on a day to day basis in an analysis department and what you need to do to break into the professional game.
