Man has a fantasy to travel to the future or the past. Books are written about time machines. But DJ Flip had something real & far worse.

Amarah had discovered DJ Flips turntable room inside his home. In the room was a giant size turntable. Whenever she played a record on it, she would see images on the wall behind her. They were like holograms.

One of the images Amarah saw was the Ghost Boogie (The Bad Ghost of Boogaloo). She recognized him by his red eyes.

Amarah said out loud, “But Flip buried the key.”

She saw Ghost Boogie begging and pleading to be set free from a spiritual realm. He was in torment. No sound from him could be heard.

Amarah understood then that the key that DJ Flip had buried was a turntable speed key. She understood it to be the key that allowed Flip to switch the drive belt from one pulley-rung to another and to change the platter rotation speed. Amarah began to understand more clearly why Flip didn’t want to let go of the key. However she knew that it was more to it than that.

She thought, “I’m engaged to a wizard. Maybe I shouldn’t marry him. What is he into?”

Amarah was about to be sucked into another world and locked into a realm trying to find out what the turntable could do. By then, DJ Flip had pulled the plug on the turntable.

Flip: Get out of here, Amarah!
The images on the wall had disappeared.
Flip: Let’s go now!

Amarah walked out. She had questions.
Amarah: Jeffrey, what are you into?”

Flip: I’m not into anything but simply music. What you heard and saw was nothing more than that. You’re suppose to be helping me move some things & you’re in another part of the house snooping around.

Flip took a key out of his pocket & locked the doors to his turntable room.

Amarah: That’s no ordinary turntable you got in there. I’ve never seen anything like it. You’re hiding evil. What’s going on with those images showing up on the wall?

Flip: They are only illusions, Amarah. It started as a magician’s trick for a show. But I never got a chance to make that show happen. Things got real.

Then Amarah walked away from Flip saying, "We’ll I want nothing to do with it."

Flip: It’s not my fault Amarah. Something came to me. It’s not here anymore. I never use the turntable. Only the one down at the station.

Amarah stopped to turn around. She looked at Flip and said, "We’ll that one in the room can stay here. It’s not going with us to the mountains."

Flip: Yes ma’am.

Flip didn’t try explaining anything more to Amarah. He knew that what he had experienced could follow him. DJ Flip almost lost Amarah to the spiritual realm. It scared him & he didn’t mind leaving the turntable behind. It made him have second thoughts about getting married, and he felt that he might hurt Amarah because of his spiritual exp\\xedence in the past.

On the way out the door, Amarah began to think about her spiritual experience; and how she could hear Mr. Carlston’s voice, a dead man from one of Flip’s old records. Amarah never could explain why. All she knew was she could hear him. So she wasn’t so hard on Flip.
