b'In this episode, I interview Tonya Kinlow, the Founder of the Home Food Sharing startup, UGottaEat. According to the EPA, In 2014, we disposed of more than 38 million tons of food waste.\\xa0 Chowhound.com states that \\u201cglobally, one-third of the food produced for human consumption is lost, about 1.3 billion tons. Consumers in North America and Europe waste about 209 to 253 pounds of food per person every year.\\u201d Tonya Kinlow wants to eliminate that waste by giving home cooks and professional chefs a platform to share extra food while also increasing a greater sense of community.

We discuss how Mrs. Kinlow built her platform for private caterers, but had to pivot when small Mom & Pop restaurants started using the #UGottaEat platform to market their services. Because Tonya Kinlow is targeting only health meals for the platform, the strategy has created a "Chicken and Egg" dilemma, i.e., how do you get enough chefs and eaters to make the platform scale. Listen to find out how she is solving this problem.
