Wejo is a data, analytics and software-as-a-service provider that analyses connected and electric vehicle data to create real-time insights. Founded in Manchester back in 2014, the business went public back in 2021 in a deal that valued the business at $800 million.

In the first episode of Season 6, Chris sits down with Founder & CEO of Wejo, Richard Barlow, to hear all about his journey from starting to out, to the IPO and where the business is set to go.

Richard talks through how he managed to secure partnerships with General Motors, Microsoft and Palantir, all through the power of being persistent and building great relationships - even if it it entails flying to Detroit for coffee 43 times...

He discusses how the business has pivoted over the years and how he has navigated change as a leader, including tough decision making during the pandemic.

Finally, Richard gives some truly insightful and honest advice about what it takes to be a great Founder, to get your business off the ground and how to build a great team, all of which has led Wejo to being the incredibly successful business that it is today!
