Healing from the inside with Precious Rutlin

For years I remember hearing the statement "You are what you eat!" Over the years it has been lost in the noise of faster fast food and chapter unhealthy food. In recent years there has been a bright light shining on what healthy eating can do for you. In this episode we heard from Tricologist, Precious Rutlin about what it means to heal from the inside out.

I personally have done more research about what I have been eating this year. Making a shift to being a Pescatarian was major for me but I have seen positive results from the shift. Increased energy and better sleep have been the result of changing not only what I eat but also the vitamins that I take daily. Changing your eating habits is difficult for many because of negative habits we have learned throughout our life. Do you have any negative eating habits that you need to siwtch?

~ Breakouts are a sign that there is congestion in your system
~ Sugar contributes to negative responses in your body when you consume a large amount if it
~ Eating healthy is not just about eating a salad (Dark leafy greens are best)
~ Determine the best options for your body (It makes a difference in the health of your body)
~ You should be chewing your food at least 75 times
~ Get back to enjoying the food you eat...it aids in better digestion
~ Eating healthier builds your immune system

Precious shared some great insight on intermittant fasting and the impact it can have on your health. Working toward eating in a four to six hour window is optimal but to see the great effects of fasting but and eight hour window will give you good results. (You should always consult a doctor before making decision that alter the food you eat) A big part of the success that comes from intermittant fasting is drinking plenty of water.

Reprogramming your body takes time. You must understand that you did not attain the habits that you have overnight. Therefore, it will not be an overnight process to change them. Having a positive health strategy is valuable and will keep you from comparing yourself to someone else's journey.
