We do our best to survive. At work, in school, in life for that matter. We have to \\u201cget up and make the money\\u201d. The Philippian jailer was just trying to earn a living, keep his family fed and safe, and be a good person. He didn\\u2019t hate Paul and Silas when they were sent to his prison; he was just following orders. But, suddenly, he realized that there was more going on than just trying to make it through. He needed to make a decision. Was his life going to be about merely surviving or about being part of something bigger than himself? His choice ought to inform our choice.
