Christmas 2018 when my late husband bought me an easel, a load or art equipment and told me to stop
talking about it and just do it!
That gentle shove loaded with complete faith in me was all I needed to say, ‘my time is now, and I am ready!’
But being ready and actually being ready are two completely different things. I had gaps in my knowledge for a
start. I had run three successful businesses and had 25 years of leadership experience but had never run an
online business starting out as a solopreneur. So, although my very first step was to discover if I was still
creative enough, I also had to plug those gaps. I did my first drawing in over 20 years on Boxing Day 2018, then
my first painting and then lots of creative ideas flooded my brain.
