Hi there everybody!

\\n

Show #4 - We\'re on a roll...

\\n

This episode of the Retrobits Podcast is a grab bag.\\xa0 There are several \\nthings I wanted to talk about, none of which would make up a central theme, so \\nthis show is "potpourri".\\xa0 Here are the \\nURLs referenced in the show:

\\n

The Denial website/forum \\nfocuses on the VIC-20.\\xa0 Missed this one during the VIC-20 show (#001).\\xa0 \\nThanks to folks for pointing out this great resource!
\\nComputer Chronicles, \\na television program that ran from the 80s until the late nineties, is available \\nfor download and/or viewing at the archive.org \\nwebsite.\\xa0 It is really fun to watch these shows in our modern day \\ncontext...
\\nBBSMates is a website dedicated to online \\nbulletin board systems (BBSes).\\xa0 It has a searchable database of over \\n75,000 systems, from the 80s to modern day!
\\nClassic Gaming Expo is an event dedicated \\nto "the people, systems and games of yesteryear".
\\nDigitalPress covers a wide spectrum of \\nretro gaming.
\\nThe UCSD P-System \\nis a computing environment from days gone by.\\xa0 It\'s most famous component \\nwas the Pascal compiler.\\xa0\\nThere was a reunion of \\nsome of the original folks that developed it, and they made videos, which are \\navailable for download and viewing.
\\nFire In the Valley is a must-read \\nbook for those interested in the history of personal computing.\\xa0 I will do \\na full book review in a subsequent podcast.\\xa0 For now, if you\'ve got some \\nreading time to kill, run, don\'t walk, to buy this book.\\xa0 I have read it \\ntwice, and will be reading it again soon.\\xa0 You can get it on\\n\\nAmazon, among other places.
\\nAlso coming soon, a book on the rise and \\nfall of Commodore.\\xa0 I\'ve noticed this book actively promoted in vintage \\ncomputer settings, like the USENET groups.\\xa0 It\'s not out yet, expected to \\ngo to press pretty soon.\\xa0 Some impromptu reviews from some famous names in \\nthe Commodore fan realm have seen chapters, and they stated they like what they \\nsaw.\\xa0 Even though it\'s kind of pricey for a casual read, I\'ll probably get \\nit, given my long-term interest in Commodore, and the lack of historical \\ninformation about the company.
