Episode 120: Why Most Decisions Are Wrong And What To Do About It

Published: Nov. 30, 2018, 6:02 p.m.

b'Why are most decisions wrong? And when we mean decisions we mean those made by individuals, corporations or politicians. The reason is that logic is a rare companion to decisions as humans are hard wired to think and respond to emotions as that was the quickest way of surviving for cavemen. All leaders going back to the dawn of time are self serving liabilities which is one reason no civilisation has stood the test of time. It is why all corporations fail. Apple and Microsoft will one day be consigned to history. Even more dangerous to allow politicians to govern and manage finance or to try and impose a central identity to Europe. By definition it will all fail. Think China is successful and a future super power? They already have enormous debt, cities 90% empty and they are turning Vietnam and Africa into sweat shops to maintain their conpetitive edge with cheap labour . What can individuals do about it ? Start with small changes of self awareness. Think less what do I need to do and more what is the bigger picture and what do I choose to do to get it. Apply that to one small area of your life and build it up slowly.'
