I have a lot of “stuff.”

Uber-modern home with a gorgeous view. Two luxury cars in the garage. Six-person hot tub in the back. More clothes and shoes than I know what to do with.

I mean, there was a time when I would go shopping at Bloomingdales just to get FitBit steps.

Crazy, I know …

Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy the things I have. However, over the past year or so, all of this stuff has lost its significance. I’ve come to realize that fulfillment doesn’t come in a shoebox, or a shopping bag, or with four wheels.

It comes from within.

For way too long I worked my tail off to make my external world match the image of success that I had been conditioned to believe in.

But once I eventually made the images match, I found that it wasn’t all that it was cracked up to be. It made me understand why celebrities — with more money and stuff than they’ll ever need — end up in rehab.

Because in the absence of a spiritual life, the “good life” is merely an illusion. Something will always feel amiss.

It’s funny, I used to think “spiritual” people were a little kooky. Now I’m in yoga class almost every morning, doing Transcendental Meditation twice a day, reading books by guys with names like Maharishi and Yogananda, and listening to Marianne Williamson lectures while driving one of my fancy cars.

Oh, life is a trip.

Today I wanted to share one of my favorite Marianne Williamson clips with you. This is another one that had me clapping my hands and saying “wooh!” every couple minutes.

There’s so much truth in here, including today’s featured quote:

“Whatever is, is perfect.”

Today’s clip is from Marianne’s audio program The Ten Bridges of Transformation available on Audible.

I hope today’s message helps you add another piece to your puzzle.

I think I’ve found my missing peace.

Namaste. :)
