On this episode of the Quad, the team is on assignment in the community attending two events and building with the people. We attended the Malcolm X Festival at the Pan-African Connection bookstore in Dallas. We were able to get many interviews and perspectives on the importance of the event, and the importance of coming together as a community to celebrate this historical leader.
As the evening progressed, we visited an event hosted by a previous guest from episode 3, Gloria FreeMe Johnson. She hosts a "Freedom Speaks, Conversation Piece" in Dallas on a quarterly basis. The community came together to discuss the topic of being an entrepeneur and running a small business, and how we can continue to support each other while still holding businesses accountable for their products and services. The night wouldn't be complete without some poetry!
Turn on your ears and enjoy the interviews! For information on the interviewees, please see below.
