Quantum Computing Interconnect, Memory and Other Engineering Advances - with Supratik Guha from Q-NEXT

Published: Sept. 22, 2021, 3 a.m.

Technologies like interconnect and improved memory for repeaters will enable quantum computers to accelerate in power and connectivity in the future. Q-NEXT is one of five Quantum Information Science Research Centers funded by the U.S. Department of Energy to help develop these technologies, to the tune of $115 million. The DOE is focused on strengthening the nation’s leadership position in the quantum arms race, but the technologies will benefit all areas of the industry. Join host Konstantinos Karagiannis for a chat about all this, and even the development of the first IBM quantum processor, with Supratik Guha from Q-NEXT.
