The Chicago PoPo Report (08/24/19)

Published: Aug. 25, 2019, 3:28 a.m.

This week on the Chicago PoPo Report: Jussie Smollet is back in the news with threats of counter-suing the city of Chicago, Garry McCarthy defends background checks on Chicago police board speakers, cops warn of leaving key fob inside of vehicles, and a west-side man busted by the feds tells them he "collects" weapons, while judge lets man with arsenal of explosives and weapons out with $500 bond. Update on the man yelling slurs at young child who stole a barbie, CPD replacing bulky computers with new technology, and Phoenix police must now document each time they point a weapon at a suspect. Funky crime and punishment time, more local/national PoPo news, and a special happy ending.
