Glasser, Jane Mayer, and Evan Osnos look at former President Donald Trump\\u2019s arraignment in Miami on thirty-seven federal charges, including obstruction of justice and the willful retention of national-security material. In a speech at his New Jersey golf club, the former President called the charges \\u201cfake and fabricated\\u201d and the prosecution \\u201celection interference\\u201d and \\u201cpolitical persecution.\\u201d With few exceptions, congressional Republicans defended him and attacked the Justice Department and F.B.I.; perhaps more surprisingly, nearly all of his opponents for the G.O.P.
