#181: First Man, 22 July, Apostle, Hold the Dark, 2001: A Space Odyssey & more!

Damien Chazelle's follow up to La La Land couldn't be further from his usually more musical proclivities, following the story of Neil Armstrong's tragic path to the Moon almost 50 years ago, which is coincidentally the age of Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey, a 'de-mastered' 70mm print of which was recently shown at London's Prince Charles Cinema. Meanwhile on Netflix, there's been a tidal wave of new releases from top filmmakers coming straight to the platform over the past few weeks, films like Paul Greengrass's 22 July, Gareth Evans' Apostle & Jeremy Saunier's Hold the Dark all would have had proper theatrical releases a few years ago, but it seems the streaming future is already upon us...
