All the Wrong People Feel Ashamed

Shame on you, you ought to feel ashamed, you are shameful, you are shameless. Do these words resonate with you now and as you look back into childhood. Are you the child of shame, the one that carried these unbearable ugly painful feelings throughout your early days into the present.

Often the child who is shamed is carrying the truth about the family and its members.

You did not go along with the family fairy tale that was manufactured to keep the family secrets intact.

There was a family script that you did not follow. Other family members fell in line with the false family narrative and the prescribed roles that were required as members.

Narcissistic family members projected raw rage onto you, insisting that you were all bad.

You went quiet and became invisible, not giving your opinion. As a result you were inundated with projective shame by the other family members.

You are a pearl of great price who lives in integrity.

Spend time each day practicing self acceptance. Recover with self care practices: sleep, rest, movement and exercise, meditation, prayer, yoga, creativity in the forms that work best for you.
