The MovieFilm Commentary Track: Beneath the Planet of the Apes
For their latest commentary track, the MovieFilm boys show some movie monkey love to Beneath the Planet of the Apes, the first sequel to the 1968 sci-fi classic, in celebration of its 50th anniversary. Starring James Franciscus alongside the returning Charlton Heston, this was the first big franchise sequel of the modern era, and it makes for an even more fascinating artifact today than when it first debuted. As longtime listeners already know, Zaki is about as big an Apes fan as it gets, and this track offered him a chance to show off his deep reservoir of knowledge while Brian attempts to remain interested.
