A popular Auckland bar is frustrated by Cabinet's decision to keep Alert Level Three restrictions for another four days.
The region is remaining at Level Three until midnight Sunday, before joining the rest of the country at Level Two.
Ponsonby's Longroom co-owner Richard Bagnall told Mike Hosking coming in and out of different Alert Levels isn't sustainable for the hospitality industry.
He says paying rent during this time is tough - and something has to give.
‘We either decide whether to stop the business, or to work with Government and landlords to somehow ease the pain.
Bagnall says it's frustrating to stay at Level Three, because almost 80 percent of hospitality businesses' turnover occurs from Wednesday through to Sunday.
He says his business will miss out on more than 90-thousand dollars in turnover.
