Peter Dunne: Future of NZ First and Greens hanging in the balance

Published: Oct. 8, 2020, 8:23 p.m.

The Greens and New Zealand First could go from government, to game-over at next week's election.
The latest 1 News Colmar Brunton poll shows Labour on 47 percent, National on 38 percent, Act on eight, the Greens on six, and New Zealand First on just two.
Peter Dunne's United Future Party disbanded, after it failed to get back into Parliament in 2017.
He told Mike Hosking New Zealand First will never return to Parliament if it doesn't get in this time, and the Greens are unlikely to ever return if the cannabis referendum doesn't go their way.
"If the referendum is successful, it will give them some time to build on that support to get back in three years, but that’s a long time to be out of parliament."
Greens co-leader James Shaw will address the poll result, when he joins Kerre McIvor in-studio after the 10am news.
