Lara Greaves: Early indicators suggest more people than ever to vote this election

Increasing voter turnout is about removing barriers.
With three days to go, numbers for early voters have already passed that of the 2017 election.
Auckland University political scientist Lara Greaves told Mike Hosking there's evidence to suggest the country is looking at a higher voter turnout than usual.
"We've got two high profile referendums that people have opinions on, along with a strong government presence throughout Covid-19."
Greaves says there's evidence to suggest the country is looking at a higher voter turnout than usual.
But she says research shows it's important to reduce barriers that prevent individuals from voting.
