The owner of a New Zealand roofing company has been praised for taking a \\u201cslightly different approach\\u201d to recruiting employees.

\\n

A job advert for a semi-experienced roofer at the Roofing Hub, based in Queenstown and Wanaka, went viral last month for including \\u201cdyslexia\\u201d and \\u201cbuilt stuff as a kid\\u201d as attributes on a \\u201cgood things to have\\u201d list.

\\n

\\u201cIdeally we are looking for someone wanting to learn and push their skill set and with a bit of effort, get ahead,\\u201d the ad read.

\\n

\\u201cNothing comes easily in life, so effort is key.\\u201d

\\n

The advert written by Roofing Hub\\u2019s owner Dave Strudwick also noted that it would be \\u201cno big deal\\u201d if applicants didn\\u2019t have a CV.

\\n

It said the job would provide the selected candidate with the opportunity to learn from experienced roofers and came with a \\u201cpaid day off on your birthday\\u201d.
