Welcome to the Emergent Human with Michael Ostrolenk, where we explore optimizing health, embodied spirituality, and post-conventional living. Today I’d like to welcome back Ryan Frisinger, an interdisciplinary specialist operating at the intersections of medicine, consciousness and culture. Following my last call with Frisinger, in which we explored the complex relationship between humans and animals, Frisinger dives into human habitats. Frisinger discusses transitions from vernacular architecture to modern structures and the value of using local materials. Drawing on Curitiba, Brazil as one example, Frisinger details how an existing model/framework can be creatively adapted for more functionality, sustainability, and enhanced for user experience. Frisinger offers some recommendations for creating a space that is more conducive to health and happiness: · Think about the space that you want · Think about what it is you want to do and how to make your space conducive to doing those things · Incorporate plants into the environment for the relationship for cleaning the air and caring for a living thing To learn more about Ryan Frisinger, visit his website (kosmicanimal.com/) and visit his health center (xenogenesis.co/about-us/).
