Workers Rising
Leslie is joined by Melinda Newhouse of the United Steelworkers. Melinda directs the USW’s Strategic Campaigns department, supporting members during challenging bargaining. During her 23 years as a Steelworker, Newhouse and her department have helped USW members mobilize and build power across a wide range of industries, including steel, oil, paper, health care and more.
The two discuss how, over the past year, workers have begun standing together, demanding the kinds of wages, working conditions, and benefits that they deserve.
