State of The Presidential Race For Both Parties

Nicholas Wapshott, the Opinion Editor of Newsweek and an author, guest hosts for Leslie for two hours during today's show.

For the first half hour, he is joined by Matthew Cooper, the Political Editor for Newsweek.
They discuss whether Donald Trump is still likely to win the Republican nomination despite the tough week that he and his campaign just had. They also discuss the state of the Democratic primary, including how long Bernie Sanders should stay in the race, and whether his campaign will help Hillary Clinton in the long run.

During the second half hour, Nicholas is joined by Conservative Columnist Ira Stoll. They discuss the future of the Republican party after it being taken over by the likes of Donald Trump and Ted Cruz. They also touch on a petition, that garnered over 50,000 signatures, demanding that the GOP Convention taking place in Cleveland this July allow open-carry of firearms.

They discuss how likely it is that Donald Trump will be the GOP nominee, and what might happen if Trump is denied the nomination. To that latter point, they discuss Trump's previous comments about there being riots if he is not the Republican nominee for President.
They also discuss how Bernie Sanders can affect the positions of Hillary Clinton and the Democratic platform by staying in the race all the way to the Democratic convention.
