Senate Dems Block Refugee Bill By Linking it to Trump Muslim Ban Vote

Leslie is joined by callers as they discuss Senate Democrats successfully blocked a bill aimed at "pausing" Syrian and Iraqi refugees from entering the U.S. They were able to do this by linking the bill to an amendment that called for the Senate to hold a vote on Republican front-runner Donald Trump's proposal to ban all Muslims from entering America. Senate Republicans did not want to go on record voting for or against the proposal, which resulted in the refugee bill failing to garner enough votes for a filibuster proof majority. (They only received 55 of the necessary 60 votes)
