Michele Jawando talks Affirmative Action and workplace equality

Michele Jawando, a regular Leslie Marshall fill-in host, breaks down two major issues facing men and women of color in this new administration.

For the first block, Michele is joined by Thena Robinson Mock, Program Officer for Communities for Just Schools Fund, and Ian Millhiser, a Senior Fellow at Center for American Progress.

They investigate the ramifications of a Department of Justice rollback of Affirmative Action programs in higher education admissions.

In block two, Michele joins Maya Raghu, Director of Workplace Equality & Senior Counsel at National Women's Law Center, and Joi Cheney, Executive Director at Equal Pay Today!, and founder of J.O.I Strategies.

As you may suspect, the gender wage gap is even wider for women of color, and the trio in studio discuss strategies on how to tighten, and eventually eliminate, the wage gap between men and women in the workforce.
