Leslie is joined by Connie Pillich, who spent eight years on active duty in the Air Force where she earned the rank of Captain and served in support of Operation Desert Storm and earned the Air Force Commendation Medal three times. From there, she went on to become a Public Defender where she helped people enter drug treatment, got illegal evidence thrown out, and defended people against predatory lending. Connie was first elected to the Ohio House of Representatives in 2008, winning a seat that had been held by Republicans for 38 of the last 40 years. After working for the National Association of Women Judges, Connie announced her run for County Commissioner of Hamilton County, Ohio.

Leslie and Connie discuss the seriousness of Trump's withholding military aid to Ukraine in exchange for seeking 'dirt' on a domestic political opponent, impeachment, and Connie's op-ed in the Cincinnati Enquirer on the matter.

They also discuss Connie's work as a public defender, criminal justice reform, and her current run for County Commissioner of Hamilton County, Ohio.  If you live in Hamilton County, the Democratic primary election for that seat will be held on March 17th of this year, and early voting begins on February 19th.
