b'We continue this episode with Erica speaking about sleep and how to improve it, and she goes over her seven steps to better sleep. She starts off telling us about how babies mature and what stages they may change their sleep consistency. Stress levels can keep babies from being able to sleep, as well as too heavy a dependency on the soother or methods the parent is using. They can also have too much of a dependency on over-tiredness. Erica Gives and talks about her 7 steps to better sleep. Step 1) look at your sleep environment and make sure it\\u2019s dark and quiet. Step 2) Timing. Start with a really consistent waking time, so that they can establish a routine and pattern of when they sleep and wake. Step 3) Milk/solids balance. Step 4) Napping. Step 5) Bedtime routine. Step 6) The ability for your child to fall asleep themselves. Step 7) Consistency.

\\u201cLook at the last hour before bedtime and what happens in it, and make it really consistent. I like to say aim for about a seven o-clock bedtime. There or thereabouts. What happens in that last hour? Is there a bath? Is there a milk feed? Do you do a little bit of story time? And where do those things happen? And make them really consistent.\\u201d 33:33
