Overcoming the Fear of Change | Face It with Courage

b'Adam struggles with and hates change that he doesn’t know about or can’t control and we wanted to discuss this issue and how we handle it. Moving houses multiple times has been somewhat of a struggle, but when you feel the pull of big change and it feels like the right thing to do, that knowledge that you’re doing the right thing will be greater than your fear of change and will be able to propel you forward. Sitting back and stewing over what you’re gonna do can make the fear even bigger whereas if you just act once you realize it’s right, then it’ll make change easier. Another thing that can really help is finding someone who has already experienced what you are about to experience and asking them questions that will clear up your doubts.

“I think if change is allowed to creep up on me, the issue I’ve got with the change, if I’ve got too much of a time frame for the change to take place, I get super rational, and then just as I’ve thought through everything and pulled the trigger on it, then if there’s too much time between then and moving with the change, then I get psychotic about it.” 4:20
