b'We’ve dealt with a lot as we left Portugal and came back to Ireland and in this episode we talk about the various issues we have faced. Stuff has become such a toxic thing, so in order to combat having too much, we have thrown a lot away and decluttered our lives. “The more you have, the less joy you can get out of it, but the more you give away, the more joy you can get from what you keep.” 6:21 We’ve gotten to a point where if we have any more stuff than the little bit that we’re used to, we struggle living with it, so we have to throw things away to be happy. You have to get ahead, or else you’re always going to be behind. You get to a certain point where you can either accumulate things or experiences and every extra thing you accumulate just ends up holding you down and hindering your progress. If you’re trying to figure out how to give away your stuff, try talking to a local religious leader.

“When you have too much stuff, it requires maintenance and that takes time. And for me that takes time away from my kids, it takes time away from me just having alone time or chilling out, or working, or even us spending time together. The more stuff you have, it has to be managed.” 19:00
