She tells the story of her first child she lost, which pregnancy went really well and seemed completely normal until her last two weeks when she experienced something very strange and later in the day realized her baby had passed away, and then her family all came to visit and be there for her, being a great strength in this hard time. She tells about how she was able to deal with giving birth to her baby and let go of her. Connecting with family and getting in touch with her spiritual side are some things that have really helped her through this trial.

“I knew in my heart that if I took her into my arms, I would possibly not be able to let go. So I did not allow myself to hold her and I know that might sound strange to people, but this is how I just felt. I thought ‘I cannot hold her and connect physically.’ So what I did was I held on to the life that was inside me, I remembered the heart beats, I remembered the kicks, I remembered all that. So I held onto that and I connected with her spiritually and as I talk now I still have that feeling of connection, and that is the life that I have inside me even as I talk about her now. I have that spiritual connection with her.” 40:40
