Christmas | Our Family Traditions

b'Today we talk about how we celebrate Christmas, given that Adam is Australian and Rosie is Irish. We start by hearing Adam’s family traditions, who spent them differently with his mom or dad and having to deal with big bush fires because Christmas takes place during the Summer in Australia. He would go get slushies and his grandma would get him delicious chocolates, and then his dad would play Santa each year, and then go to the beach. Rosie’s family would do midnight mass, and then set all the presents out and not wrap them, so they could go in straight to their presents. Families in her community would get together on Christmas and share drinks and socialize.

“I remember as we got older and we would start to drive, we’d always do the same thing on Christmas. We’d go and get, this sounds crazy, but late teens we’d go have Mcdonald’s for breakfast, and then we would get a frozen Coke between going from my nan’s house to my dad’s house. And I don’t know why, I just loved that tradition.” 3:20
