Mr. Funny Green was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia in the Churchill area, Mosby to be exact. At the age of 10 he and 2 of his cousins started a group called The Awesome Threesome. They were known to sneak out their grandmother’s home on late summer nights to go out on the corners and rap with the older guys who were hanging out selling they drugs. They didn’t understand what they were doing back then but they later learned about life and it‘s common challenges. One night they snuck back stage at the coliseum during a Rakim concert, and ended up in Poor Righteous Teachers dressing room as they were preparing for the show, getting high and creating rhymes. Ed Lover of YO MTV Raps saw them and he connected them with the producer of the group No Face, which he was a part of. That’s is where Mr. Funny Green’s career really started. He ended up with a deal with RCA, that later went sour. The group split up. Caused by kids who wanted to live a kids life. His career was at a stand still for a while, however cranked back up by the age of 16 and has been going strong ever since.At about age 22, Mr. Funny Green got into production more and started producing his own beats. While doing shows, collaborating with other artist from Philly, New York, Michigan and all over Virginia, he has been writing and producing for a lot of artist. Mr. Funny Green was featured on a couple of hip-hop DVDs. He has appeared on the live bait DVD with Inspector Deck from the WU Tang. He is currently working on 2 projects, my solo album ” Everybody wanna be Somebody” and D’emaar album ” Maintainin”. D’emaar is a group of 7 individuals, actually family members coming together to form an identity. Their first tasks are the music and the ever growing clothing line. In the future, they will be targeting cologne and real-estate. The group just finished shooting the video to Mr. Funny Green’s first single of the album called “Flying away“.
