02/26/07: Taxpayers Fund al-Qaeda!

Seymour Hersh of New Yorker magazine released a scathing article recently about the Bush cabal's instigation of a regional civil war between the Sunni and Shia. In it, he reveals how OUR taxpayers' money (likely the money that has gone "missing" from the no-bid contracts) has been funneled, Iran-Contra style, to militant Sunni groups with direct ties to al-Qaeda. It's so shameless that it prompted the self-demotion of John Negroponte, one of the major players in Iran-Contra in the 1980's. We didn't invade Iraq to stop terrorism; we invaded Iraq in order to sow the seeds of conflict in the region. Why are we doing this? Read Sy Hersh's article, then listen to Jared and Ralph deduce exactly what the Bush game plan is.
