John Hannah, Cheney's national security advisor, claims that 2007 will be "the year of Iran" - presumably, the year where we start the Iran war that has been speculated about for quite some time. The intelligence on the Iranian government's involvement with Iraq's militias is not reliable, but it seems the Bush cabal will treat it as if it was a certainty, much like they did in the lead-up to the war in Iraq. In fact, there is a bit of irony to John Hannah's comments, as he was the person who wrote Powell's infamous speech to the U.N. regarding Iraq's weapons capabilities!
