But if President Bush is feeling confident, you would not know it from his belligerent stand against the New Jersey Supreme Court decision calling for the legal recognition of same-sex unions.

Given the fact that New Jersey (and all states) are sovereign states fully empowered to create, enact, and enforce their own laws, what business is it of the federal government's if a sovereign state decides to expand the rights of its citizens?

Oh, I forgot, democracy only matters when it reflects what Bush wants. Silly me!

Get out and vote on November 7, please!
