Josh (@joshuacliston) talks about how he used a technique of occupying the mind of a healthier person, to kick-start his recent habit change journey – plus he shares his thoughts on how booting caffeine out-of-bed has made his life, and his sleep, much more enjoyable! We also venture into some places that could seen as supporting anecdotal experience over research (a pet peeve of Josh’s) but it’s applicable here to make a point.

Also in this episode:
- The amazing James Clear episode of Internet Business Mastery
- The ways that Josh focused on first occupying the mind of a healthier person (an effective habit changer), and then decided that “that type of person would be focused on quality sleep.”
- Why did Josh give up Caffeine basically overnight, and how that has effected the rest of life (all in under a 2 weeks).
- To finish up Josh discusses how a concept from author Nassim Nicolas Taleb (being domain specificity of knowledge) might be applicable to domain specificity of willpower (and yes, Josh may have actually made that phrase up while recording the episode).

Other things to think about: “Give heavy amounts of caffeine (in the form of commercial coffee brands) the boot, and you might actually feel more-alive.”

Thanks heaps for listening everyone, and good luck with changing your life for the better this week :)
