@joshuacliston talks habit loops and the Cue > Routine > Reward habit loop cycle. This subject was spurred on through a re-reading of The Power of Habit by author Charles Duhigg.

We also look at the following questions and in-house experiments:
- What exactly is a Cue, a Routine, or a Reward in this context?
- Why do they matter for those of us who are looking to establish new and robust habits? and what are some real-life examples of the habit loop in action?
- Josh’s own example 1: Cue (parking near my gym for trips to the library) > Routine (going to gym instead of driving home post-library) > Reward (vanilla protein shakes).
- Josh’s own example 2: Cue (my personal payroll email) > Routine (set aside X $’s for 3-4 days) > Reward (return back a portion but not all of those dollars later in the week to buy a book, audiobook, or movie ticket).
