Yahya M. Michot (Belgium, 1952) joined Hartford Seminary in 2008 as Professor of Islamic Studies and Christian-Muslim Relations. He is also the current editor of the journal \\u201cThe Muslim World\\u201d edited by the Seminary.

From 1983 to 1997, he taught Arabic philosophy, language, history and literature in Louvain (Belgium) and, from 1998 to 2008, Islamic theology and Arabic in Oxford (UK). He has published numerous books and articles about Islamic classical thought, drugs in Muslim societies and Islam in the West, including \\u201cIBN S\\xceN\\xc2. Dr. Michot has served as a consultant to various universities, international organizations and official bodies in the UK. From 1995 to 1998, he was president of the Higher Council of Muslims in Belgium.


Anne Speckhard, Ph.D. is Adjunct Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Georgetown University Medical School and Director of the International Center for the Study of Violent Extremism (ICSVE). Dr. Speckhard has collected nearly 500 in-depth research interviews of family members, close associates and hostages of terrorists and violent extremists worldwide. She has consulted to NATO, the United Nations, OSCE, foreign governments and the U.S. Departments of State, Defense, Justice, Homeland Security, Health & Human Services, CIA and FBI. She has appeared on CNN, BBC, NPR, Fox News, MSNBC, CTV, and in Time Magazine, the New York Times, the Washington Post, London Times and many others.
