Ep.124 A Personal Look at Natasha Sweatte

b'Join Dr. Carlos as he chats with TV anchor Natasha Sweatte.\\xa0Natasha is grateful doing what she loves every day for a network who emphasizes an unbiased newscast, while supporting American values. Graduating from California State University, Fullerton, Natasha landed her first on-air gig at a small CNN Affiliate in Riverside County, California. Her first day was scheduled to be a City Council Meeting, but unexpectedly changed to a Los Angeles news conference with then GOP Candidate, Rudy Giuliani. The excitement never ceased. She covered the Rice Canyon Wildfires, where she learned firsthand how precious life is and how we should never take anything for granted. The coverage also taught her how easily things can be replaced, while people are irreplaceable.

Natasha\\u2019s journey continued in Anchorage, Alaska for three years, initially as a Reporter, many times jumping in a small plane or helicopter to cover a story. Whether it was evaluating the smoke erupting from Mt. Redoubt, following former Governor Sarah Palin stepping down, or getting a one-on-one with famous mushers. Natasha enjoyed every minute. She became the\\xa010 p.m.\\xa0Anchor her first summer and eventually began hosting an hour-long daily Political Show and weekly Health Segment.

Natasha then made the trek to Texas for two years, where she worked as an Investigative Reporter and Weekend Anchor. It wasn\\u2019t always the most popular job, uncovering governmental waste and corruption is something Natasha feels is her responsibility as a Journalist. She then continued her journey back to her roots at a local station in San Diego before jumping onboard with One America News. Natasha takes her job to heart. Whenever there is a tragedy, Natasha believes there can always be a positive piece of advice to learn. Being informed is priceless; it can\\u2019t be bought, but it can be lifesaving.
