b'With a slight nod to \\u2018All About Eve,\\u2019 a film which actually was nominated and won some Academy Awards, SHOWGIRLS takes us on up-and-comer (pun intended!) Nomi\'s journey to super stardom, or in this case, the lead in \\u2018Goddess,\\u2019 a fictitious, highly-naked, dazzling piece of theatre that starts out with a scene involving an exploding volcano, followed by some sort of Greek God wedding, and ends with motorcycles, leather chaps, and woman-on-woman action. Seriously, what is this Vegas show even about? There is zero through-line.

Our hero Nomi must fight to become a star, mostly with food \\u2013 watch out french fries -- but also with her instant-arch-enemy, Cristal Conners, the lead in \\u2018Goddess.\\u2019 These two characters quickly go from enemies to friends, bonding over their fond memories of eating doggie chow, then to full on frenemies when Nomi sleeps, or rather, \\u2018swims\\u2019 with Cristal\\u2019s man Zack, and then regress back to enemies when Nomi sorta pushes Cristal down a flight of stairs. What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas, people!
