b'Suzanne Rogers joined the cast of "Days of our Lives" in July 1973, and six years later won an Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her portrayal of Maggie Horton.

Rogers began her career at the age of 17 when she left her hometown of Colonial Heights, Virginia for New York City. She joined the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall and starred on Broadway with Katharine Hepburn and Alexis Smith. This is where she was introduced to a casting director who brought her in for a screen test. It was eventually sent over to DAYS, and the character of Maggie Horton was born.

Rogers dedicates much of her spare time to helping people afflicted with myasthenia gravis, a rare muscle disease with which she was diagnosed in 1984. She is currently in remission and lives a strong and healthy life.'
