b'A native of Grand Rapids, Mich., Shawn Christian has enjoyed a successful and varied career as an actor. After graduating from Michigan\\u2019s Ferris State University with a Marketing degree, Shawn relocated to Chicago.



Christian then landed the role of working class anti-hero Mike Kasnoff on the CBS daytime drama \\u201cAs the World Turns.\\u201d Christian moved to Los Angeles and landed recurring roles on ABC\\u2019s \\u201cBoston Legal\\u201d and NBC\\u2019s \\u201cCrossing Jordan\\u201d and \\u201cLas Vegas.\\u201d He returned to his comic roots in the HBO series \\u201c12 Miles of Bad Road,\\u201d in the role of Rachel\\u2019s gynecologist on \\u201cFriends\\u201d and in guest starring roles on \\u201cThe Drew Carey Show,\\u201d \\u201cEllen,\\u201d \\u201cWill and Grace,\\u201d \\u201cBecker\\u201d and \\u201cCoupling.\\u201d Christian also starred opposite Lori Loughlin in The WB\\u2019s hit series \\u201cSummerland\\u201d and the CBS movie \\u201cUndercover Christmas.\\u201d Additional television work includes: \\u201cC.S.I.,\\u201d \\u201cShark,\\u201d \\u201cGhost Whisperer,\\u201d and lead roles in the action drama pilots \\u201cRed Skies\\u201d for USA and \\u201cSpy Girl.\\u201d Christian played the role of convicted killer Danny Pelosi in Lifetime\\u2019s Original Movie \\u201cMurder in the Hamptons.\\u201d He can also be seen in Christopher Guest\\u2019s feature film \\u201cFor Your Consideration\\u201d and \\u201cShopgirl,\\u201d \\u201cHow To Leave Your Lover,\\u201d \\u201cAlmost You,\\u201d \\u201cBeautiful\\u201d and the lead in the cult franchise hit \\u201cTremors III,\\u201d as the offbeat Zen cowboy Jack Sawyer.



Christian recently filmed lead roles in the independent films \\u201cMating Dance\\u201d and \\u201cSmall Town Saturday Night,\\u201d and appears in a supporting role in Eddie Murphy\\u2019s recent film \\u201cMeet Dave.\\u201d He currently stars as \\u2018Dr. Daniel Jonas\\u2019 on NBC\\u2019s \\u201cDays of Our Lives.\\u201d
